Industrial property vacancies tighten in Gauteng logistics corridors

Industrial property vacancies along Gauteng’s main logistics corridors have tightened to multi-year lows, according to a market review published this week.

The review attributes the tightening to sustained demand for modern warehousing from retail and third-party logistics occupiers, alongside limited speculative development.

According to the review, rentals for prime logistics space rose ahead of inflation over the past year, while older stock continued to see weaker demand.
