Meerkat Mobile reported it added 1.2 million prepaid subscribers in the six months to June, according to an operational update published on Wednesday.
The company said the growth followed a repricing of its data bundles in February. Average revenue per prepaid user fell 7% over the same period, which Meerkat Mobile attributed to the lower bundle pricing.
According to the update, network capital expenditure rose 12% year on year as the operator continued a rural coverage rollout. The company said it remained on track to meet its coverage commitments.
