Highveld Energy said it has signed an offtake agreement for a 60MW/240MWh battery storage project which reached financial close this month.
According to the company, the facility will provide dispatchable capacity under a 15-year agreement. Construction is expected to begin before the end of the year.
Highveld Energy said the project is its first standalone storage development.
