BulkSMS has unveiled a refreshed brand identity built around a new tagline, “Your Messages Matter”, according to a press release issued by Celerity.chat and published on Bizcommunity on 8 October. The company says it has helped organisations deliver business-critical SMS reliably for 26 years, and that its gateway integrates into business software, reaches across borders and connects to over 800 mobile network operators worldwide. The claims below are the company’s own.
The new positioning
BulkSMS says the refresh moves it beyond pure message volumes to the importance of the messages sent. It started by supporting small and medium businesses that were early adopters of SMS and is now a messaging partner for enterprises that rely on SMS for business-critical communication. The release gives examples of time-sensitive alerts: a banking transaction that needs authentication, a warning that a monitored server is down, a vehicle tracking alert, an early warning that a pharmaceutical cold room is moving outside its temperature range, a reminder that a chronic medication prescription is due and a severe weather warning from an insurer.
Managing director Richard Simpson said SMS has been the most reliable and cost-effective channel since the first message was sent in 1992, because it needs no installed app or internet connection and messages are short, direct and action-oriented. “When your messages matter, there is simply no more reliable, effective and accessible channel than SMS,” he said.
The three pillars
The company says the positioning rests on three ideas. Accessibility means offering SMS as an enterprise solution for large-scale, business-critical messaging while keeping it simple and reliable. Capability means enterprise scale and integrations across applications and industries while staying affordable to small businesses, with customers growing from a few thousand messages to hundreds of thousands. Integration means clients can connect through the BulkSMS Integration Gateway or link an existing account to apps such as Freshdesk, HubSpot, Zapier and Zoho, with BulkSMS as the SMS engine in both cases.
